Twenty-five Nigerians have been selected to participate in the second cohort of the Agora Policy Writing Fellowship, which is organised with the support of the MacArthur Foundation and designed to strengthen policy writing skills and deepen data-driven policy engagement in Nigeria.
The successful candidates are drawn from government agencies, civil society organisations, think tanks, the media, and the private sector operating within the country. They were selected through a competitive process from a pool of more than 500 applicants. The inaugural edition of the fellowship was held between February and April 2025 and featured 20 fellows.
The selected fellows will participate in a series of physical and virtual workshops, which will be delivered through a mixture of lectures, case studies and experience-sharing.
Each fellow, guided by assigned supervisors/mentors, is expected to research and write a publishable policy paper within the fellowship period.
